The NHL’s regular season is coming to an end and only five teams have clinched playoff berths; the Boston Bruins, Washington Capitals and New Jersey Devils from the East and the San Jose Sharks and Detroit Red Wings in the West.
In Stanley Cup futures, Boston is listed at +500, Washington at +800, N.J. at +700, San Jose at +400 and Detroit is the odds-on at +275.
For the second year in a row, the NHL will play an outdoor game, this time at Wrigley Field between the hometown Chicago Blackhawks and the hated Detroit Red Wings. The game takes place today and the ‘Hawks are -115 and the Total is set at 5.5.
Ranked second and third in the Western Conference respectively, the Detroit Red Wings will play the Flames in Calgary tonight with Motor City listed at -120, Cowtown paying out at even money and the Total set at 6.
In the last 20 games, the Over/Under has gone 5-11-4.

Hot on the heels of Minnesota re-signing goalie Niklas Backstrom (four-year $24 million deal), the Wild will try to gain some ground on the Vancouver Canucks, who are currently seven points ahead in the Northwest standings.

Projected to play with Sidney Crosby, Kunitz has 16 goals and 19 assists for 35 points.
The Pens are listed at +900 to take win the Eastern Conference.
A sore groin forced Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby to leave practice prematurely yesterday and according to wpxi.com, he will miss tonight’s game against the New York Islanders.
Crosby is quoted as saying he’s listed as day-to-day and the Pens are -275 and the Isles are +235.
